Bali is an island in Indonesia where Hinduism is predominant. There are kilometer-long beaches, rice fields, and monkeys, just to name a few things. It is a true paradise for surfers, and culture lovers also get their money's worth.

GILI ISLANDS

The Gili Islands are three small islands (Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, and Gili Meno) located between Bali and Lombok. You can take a boat from Bali and reach the islands in about 1-2 hours. We only stayed on Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan. Gili Meno is the smallest of the three islands and it is quite peaceful. It's the perfect place for those seeking tranquility and relaxation. On the other hand, Gili Trawangan is bustling with activity! There are plenty of bars, restaurants, and small clubs, and a lot of backpackers. It's a true backpacker's paradise. The area around the Gili Islands also has a beautiful reef, and you can take snorkeling tours or get your diving certification there. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! ;)
