After a hearty breakfast, we set out in the middle of the Drakensberg with a packed lunch. We walked the “Three Pools Hike” and admired 4,000 year old cave paintings. It was a wonderful hike through a great mountain landscape with very little greenery and flowers, as many parts of the meadows had been cleared by fire a month before. Only a few small flowers fight their way through the barren ground. For dinner we had the hottest and yet tastiest curry that we both have ever eaten.
