Otavalo

In Otavalo there is the largest artisanal market in Ecuador, but it is only on Saturdays, but on Mondays it also has a lot to offer.

Every stand tries to sell you the "Handmade Alpaca" sweaters and it was generally a bustling activity. I finally let myself be talked into buying a sweater and have been struggling with space in my backpack ever since. But hopefully I will be able to make good use of it in the South.
