Volcanoes, pure nature & a new tattoo in Java

After extending the visas, we continued westwards to the island of Java. Here, I walk on a black sandy beach for the first time.

In Java, our first destination was Mount Bromo. Seeing a volcano so close, smelling the sulfur and witnessing the sunrise at Bromo was incredible. The Hobbit Shire-like landscape was also stunningly beautiful. Due to the cold temperatures, I could finally use the warm clothing that I had been carrying with me for seven months :)
