All roads lead to Heidelberg!

This morning we started with the thought of being able to hike 44 kilometers from Wuppertal to Cologne. However, after 31 kilometers (Leverkusen) we were taught a lesson. Sophia needed a leg brace as the pain in her Achilles tendon continued to worsen. In Cologne, we were allowed to stay overnight with a nice young couple in Ehrenfeld. In the evening, we had self-cooked curry and a warm shower :-). We were sad that we had so little time in Cologne due to our tight schedule.

Conclusion of the day: the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak
