The drive home through the Ahr Valley

Thunderstorms were forecast for the whole day, and it had been raining steadily even before we set off. We left around 09:00 and frequently drove on wet roads, but we didn't encounter much rain. The journey through the Ahr Valley was extremely lengthy due to the many villages and numerous construction sites caused by the flooding. Many things have already been rebuilt, but there is still plenty to do.

Summary of the 4-day trip:

A great plan by our president Markus, both for the tours and the break points. The hotel was acceptable, but it didn't really offer the quality one would expect for the price. The rooms were old but clean. The breakfast buffet was very good, while the dinner could be rated a 3, if we were to use school grades.
