Departure to Siegburg
Our taxi arrived promptly at 8:30 am. In the rain, we set off to the ICE train to Siegburg. Jürgen, our longtime neighbor, drove us to the train.

After a 12-hour flight, sweaty and tired, we arrive in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, with bright sunshine and 30 degrees. After a refreshing shower and a short break at the hotel, we start exploring the city.
Note the relocation of the telephone cables and the electrical wiring.
