At 12:00 PM, loading resumed on Deck 9. This time, there was smoked reindeer meat (sliced thin like ham), along with coffee, which tasted very good.

Just a light lunch, one can't eat all the time.

I took a short rest in the bunk; I want to stay up until after midnight.

We will soon pass by “Bear Island”.

This island is halfway between North Cape (where we will be passing in reverse) and Spitsbergen.

It covers an area of 178 square kilometers.
