On the way to Townsville, we found this great camping spot on the beach :) We just had to show you the way there. There was also a dog on the beach that we named Bob.

finally back to the coastal air
as soon as we reached the east coast (after nearly 3000 km), there was wind again :-D
The climate here is really nice. It is still pretty hot but bearable. Since the two girls we are taking with us wanted to be in Cairns on Friday for a job interview, we left on Wednesday and only spent one day here.
The city center of Townsville is quite cute but we have to say that we didn't really recognize it as the city center.
Since swimming at the beach is not recommended on the east coast (because of jellyfish danger), two beautiful lagoons have been created here. We went swimming in these lagoons and didn't do much else here.
