It is sunny in the morning. We are going to the beach hoping to see kangaroos there. Unfortunately, there are none and we take a walk along the water. Back at the campsite, we have breakfast. Then it clouds over and once again the morning is very cloudy.
Around noon, we start our Cape Le Grand Tour. Our first stop is at Le Grand Beach. There are some surfers there. Michi goes to the beach with the kids while I make pasta for us. We eat in the camper because the flies outside are too annoying.
We want to try climbing Frenchman Peak. We are not sure if this is possible for us, as it is a Class 5 (most difficult) hike. The first part of the trail goes very well, but then the kids get tired and want to be carried. We still try the first part of the steep ascent, but give up after a short distance. The trail is just too steep with 3 young children. It would be too difficult especially on the way back. We take a snack break at our turning point and enjoy the great view over the national park.
We want to visit the beaches in the national park. First, we go to Hellfire Bay. We enjoy the sun and walk along the beach or climb the rocks. The kids have a great time. For sunset, we drive to Thistle Cove and then back to Lucky Bay. Today, there are more people at the campsite. It has gotten busier while we were on tour.
We cook kangaroo fillet with wedges. Unfortunately, it's not completely done. Our gas bottle is empty. You can tell that there are more of us now. Two years ago, we didn't manage to do this in 8 weeks.
