From Freiburg to Lahr

Today we set off. After the obligatory starting photo, we walked along the Rhine to Deutzer Bahnhof in glorious summer weather. The old town panorama was as impressive as ever. Of course, our train was not on time, who would have expected anything else. We then left with a delay of 25 minutes. On the way south along the Rhine, the sky became increasingly gray. When we arrived in Freiburg with the corresponding delay, we were delighted that it was not raining contrary to all forecasts. However, this joy lasted only briefly, about 5 minutes after we left the train station, it started to drizzle. In the meantime, we had considered staying in Freiburg if it rained too heavily. But since it looked more like a light summer rain, we decided to go ahead. We got caught in the middle of it. The heavens opened all the floodgates. Now it was just a matter of enduring. We arrived at our first destination in Lahr/Schwarzwald pretty soaked. There are no pictures of the journey, the weather didn't allow it.
