Over 4 weeks in Thailand are coming to an end and I have to admit, even though it never seemed like it in my posts and pictures, I pushed myself to my limits, both physically and mentally, especially in the animal shelter. Probably because I can be quite sensitive and often dreamy and absent-minded. The new climate and the heat also took a toll on me physically, more than expected. I loved spending time with the dogs and cats and I met so many amazing new people who walked the same path with me for a short time and helped and supported me in my work. For many of them, it's also on to the next project and the next country, just like me now. I can only recommend to anyone who goes on vacation in Thailand to visit Lanta Animal Welfare. Everyone there, from volunteers to veterinarians, does an incredible job and the dogs are simply amazing. It's nice to see that most of them find a new home quickly. After my time at the shelter, I had the opportunity to see more of Thailand, from beautiful small peaceful islands to the party island Koh Phi Phi.. especially the Thai people's hospitality is really impressive. I will definitely come back, even though now I'm heading towards the Philippines and maybe in the next year or the year after that towards Africa, Australia or South America, those are still dreams :) I'll be in touch from the Philippines as soon as I have WiFi or my Philippine SIM card :) Day 31 of 92 :) Goodbye Thailand!πΉππππΈπ½π
