Griffith Observatory

On the second day in L.A., our hostel offered a free trip to the Griffith Observatory, which we didn't want to miss. From the observatory, we had a great view of the L.A. skyline and the Hollywood sign. Even though the skyline was covered in smog and the Hollywood sign still appeared tiny. From the viewpoint, there is a hiking trail that leads directly behind the Hollywood sign. However, due to the oppressive heat at 33 degrees, we decided to skip the 45-minute hike - but it's still on our to-do list. Since we only got the ride from the hostel, we eventually walked down one of the many hiking trails.
