We leave our overnight accommodation and head towards Gordes, one of the most beautiful villages in Provence. However, we are not prepared for such narrow streets, so many tourists, and no motorhome parking spaces. We give up the search somewhat annoyed and drive downhill to the Notre Dame de Sénanque monastery, where dogs are not allowed inside and there are still plenty of tourists.
After a break with Brie and baguette, we continue to Avignon and even the entrance to the city is breathtaking. A majestic city wall, the Papal Palace, and many narrow, beautiful alleyways welcome us and Avignon immediately captures our hearts.
