Day 3 - Teewurst Unchained

Published: 25.06.2018

I can already give a reassuring note: The post will be much shorter than yesterday ;)

(We also ate at home... so a lot of material got left out)

In the tourist hiking guide, there are several hiking routes and today it should be the one on the other side of the hill (where we live). Since I didn't feel like standing at a starting point again for 20 minutes and not being picked up and looking for the right direction, I left the car and just started walking. I already knew the other side of the hill/mountain from the arrival; so it should be findable..... and it was.... just silly that it wasn't the starting point.... so back again.

Unfortunately, we had to hike up the hill again and those who know me know how much I love walking uphill. But here, the coastal landscape is so wonderfully diverse that I don't even notice when it's going uphill.

I even like going uphill here...

Although Google Maps gave us a completely different route to the desired location, it went through the 'city'. It was too boring for me and accordingly ignored. We wanted coastline! You can also tolerate that the roads are probably less intended for pedestrians. The curves here are so sharp that even the French can't rush. And Teewurst doesn't have a speed limit anyway. We even have that 'in writing' since today:
Speed limit? Not with Teewurst!

Behind the mountain, we finally found a point marked on the hiking route. A beautiful, semi-deserted sandy beach in a bay. The perfect place for writing and for Nivus to venture into the water without a leash.

Time to write....
Time to write....
Imagine a beaming Shepherd in the sea. Any other dog will splash around a bit. Teewurst went from one end of the bay to the other (I was so glad to have the dog whistle with me) and in his youthful recklessness, he tried to knock down all incoming waves with a body check. A picture for the gods. The dog who tries to ram the sea (usually I have to do that...). Now Teewurst is wet... what do wet dogs do? Right, they roll around. What is in front of the sea? Right, sand! What did my dog look like afterwards? Right, like a breaded schnitzel!

Only eggs and flour are missing...

Afterwards, we continued back towards the city (the hill had to be climbed again). But as already mentioned, coastal landscapes distract or you simply look at the houses. I haven't seen a single one that I wouldn't move into immediately...

Once on top, we took a break in a café to have a drink and read, and then we made our way back home.

Unfortunately, I underestimated the sun a bit because of the wind and probably got a slight sunstroke. Or the nausea came from Mr. Crab & Family from last night. In any case, we spent the rest of the day reading a book on the terrace and on the couch. Instead of cider, we had white wine for dinner at home today and now we're slowly heading towards bed. If my sunburn doesn't peel off and instead turns brown, then don't pass me by when we get back home. I'll just look like Whoopi Goldberg...

So my dears, good night and see you tomorrow!
