It is Thursday, July 14, 2016, local time 22:10. At this time, I am at Frankfurt am Main Airport.
Current emotional state: excited, nervous, a little scared, happy, nostalgic, a sense of farewell, a queasy feeling in the stomach, but I am absolutely doing the right thing. How do I know?
I don't know, I feel it, this will be my time.
Who am I?
My name is Julia, I am 24 years old, I work as a health care and nursing professional, I have been certified for 4 1/2 years and have lived and worked in Munich during these 4 1/2 years. Munich is a very beautiful city but from now on, it is no longer MY city.
I have decided to take a break, a break from Munich, from Germany, from my everyday life, my previous lifestyle, and above all from my profession. I want to leave these things behind me now and exactly NOW I am getting on the plane with a layover in Singapore. In 32 hours, I will be in Cairns, Queensland, Australia!
Here, I will attend a language school for the first 3 months to refresh/improve my English and during this time, I will live and stay with a host family. And then?
After that, I want to travel, to experience the world, to get to know different cultures and people. Where to travel?
The rough plan is: the East Coast to Melbourne, Outback, Flying Doctors, New Zealand, Bali, Thailand......
I want to use this blog to document all my experiences, adventures, and also my emotions during this time, both in writing and with pictures.
