You may be wondering what these cryptic symbols mean? We wanted to make you curious and will explain it in our last entry for now. But it's not that exciting π.
As previously announced, it was a very early morning. Carlos and Mayara drove us to the airport and unfortunately Cinara couldn't come along as she was sick with a cold. But we still got freshly squeezed orange juice at 4:30 am π. It was quite sad to leave the city, but it won't be the last time we were there π. We want to demonstrate the size of the airport to you once again:
We were able to witness the sunset above the clouds and sweetened the half-hour flight from Marilia to Sao Paulo with gummy bear planes π€. We were very sleep deprived, which led to Marie making dolphin noises out of nowhere. In the bus. From the plane to the gate. 7 am in the morning. Here is another apology to all fellow passengers π€π¬. When we were waiting for our connecting flight to Manaus in the Amazon, we almost fell asleep. But finally, at 8:30, we headed towards the rainforest for 4 hours. The attempt to sleep didn't go as planned. And there wasn't even anything decent to eat - for Bine only: cheese crackers, salted soy milk chips, muffin, gummy bear planes, jam pockets as chips. Our diet here in Brazil? TOP π. But finally, we could see a lot of green:
We were picked up by a tour guide who belongs to the agency that we will be going into the jungle with tomorrow. After being dropped off at the hotel, we set off again. On the one hand, to explore Manaus, and on the other hand, because we were so hungry π£.
On our way to find something to eat, we passed by the Theater of Manaus and the corresponding square. And you might not see how hungry we are (because we are already so round), but at least the fatigue πͺ
We found something like an Italian restaurant. We think it was a pizzeria, but we needed meat. ππ
We would like to mention at this point that Manaus is incredibly hot. By that, we mean 35 degrees Celsius in the shade. Throughout the day, this sun was also slightly annoying. It is so humid here. But we chose it π. On our way, we were able to look at the Amazon port. Almost like the Warnow in Rostock π. We find the city beautiful, but it still can't compete with Rio de Janeiro.
Now to the seriousness of life. We say goodbye for 4 days to the jungle at Juma Lake. Our backpack is packed and we are ready for monkeys, snakes, crocodiles, and lots of mosquitoes. Don't worry, we are vaccinated and well provided for πΆ Tomorrow at 7:45 am, we will be picked up - 1:45 pm in your time. And then it's time: Jungle Queens π€.

We think of you a lot. Keep your fingers crossed for Germany on Saturday. We will hopefully return safely on Saturday at around 11:00 pm in your time. Until then, we are not reachable via mobile phone or any social networks. The cuties down here don't have WiFi yet. If anyone is interested in the itinerary of our tour in advance: it's the trekking tour by Iguana Turismo. π€
Byeeee πππ
