Currently we are 'storing' in Rio Dulce. We thought it would be easy to get to La Ceiba (Honduras) from here. Unfortunately, we only found one agency that is not leaving today as hoped, but only tomorrow. There is still a bus to San Pedro Sula and from there you have to figure out how to proceed. But 3 murders daily did not speak for this option :D Today we did a bit of sightseeing. We went to the San Felipe de Lara castle. It is not really big but definitely worth a visit for an afternoon. The surroundings are also very beautiful and inviting for a little walk. If you like, you can also go swimming here.
We went back with the 'taxi'. It may sound unspectacular, but I only tell it because it was really a funny situation. We were asked if we needed a taxi and of course we said yes. The man then called his colleague and he came with a taxi sign (which had 2 magnets on the bottom) and slapped it on his car roof :D Thus, a regular car becomes a taxi in no time. Fascinating ;)
