Day 8 Animal Welfare and Relax Beach

Today is already our last day on this wonderful island and especially in our breathtaking home, tomorrow another long drive awaits us - this time a piece to the north.

In the morning when we woke up (we put our mattress on the upper terrace and sleep under the open sky), our thermometer showed 28 degrees, so we planned a relaxed day.

After breakfast we went to Lanta Animal Welfare, an organization that takes care of temple dogs in Krabi, for example, but also places dogs and cats all over the world. Normally you are allowed to help here to take the dogs for a walk, but it was too hot today. Instead, we were allowed to feed a few dogs that were caught in the jungle and are now being socialized enough to move with the other temple dogs. In addition, we could cuddle extensively with the two kittens Chokdee and Yoko Ono.

We spent the afternoon at the wonderful Relax Beach.

To make the day perfect, we had a Thai massage - back home on our terrace. Even the children got a foot massage, although children are not usually massaged here.

The perfect ending was a big Thaifoodie dinner in the Old Town of Koh Lanta. We will definitely miss this great island, but the adventure continues!
