Tuesday morning, coffee in a glass, Bosnia is just different. Finally a night on real beds, well, at least for the other three guys, mine was, well let's just say, the emergency solution. The hotel itself was okay, but breakfast left something to be desired, just like the payment method at check-out. Whether Kai was pissed off that he couldn't pay with a card in a tourist area and had to spend our last Euros? I think you all know the answer. :D After that, we headed to Banja Luka, which was about 200 km away. Little traffic, no border controls, and beautiful roads made it possible for us to reach our destination by 12 o'clock. Upon arrival, we visited a small waterfall nearby, enjoyed a quick lunch, and checked into our accommodation early in the afternoon. A small cute wooden hut with 4 beds and a little fan was ready for us. Right next to it, there was a small river to jump into and draught beer for €1.20. So we ended the day relatively unspectacular, eating, drinking, and chatting. The first proper evening without internet and Wi-Fi - finally some proper man talk, that's what I call a MANCATION.
On Wednesday morning, we slept in. After that, instead of having breakfast with the four of us, we had breakfast with five of us for a change. We had found a new friend, Nacho, a little French Bulldog, felt very comfortable with us. Welcome to the gang, my little one, he could definitely eat like a big one. ;)
Today, we finally had some ACTION planned, we drove about 20 km towards the center of Banja Luka, where the adventure started, rafting. We were supposed to start with 6 people, but in the end, there were only 5 people (including the skipper). The boat was quickly secured on the men's bus and off we went to the starting point, a funny story, it was right on our campsite. From there, the tour started, which was planned for 15 km and 3 hours. (Our guide filmed everything with his GoPro, we'll have to provide the photos/videos afterwards.) It was definitely a highlight of our vacation, we had a lot of fun during the tour and saw/experienced a lot. We didn't miss anything, even beer during the ride was free. After all that, we spent the evening comfortably with a few beers, unbelievably but true, rafting had really worn us out. At this point, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to our guide, €18 for this experience was absolutely worth it. :)
