Sunrise in Amed + continuation to the Blue Lagoon

Yesterday we decided to stay one more day in Amed 👍 despite the roosters! We spent the day on the beach and in the water snorkeling. In the evening, we planned to continue to the Blue Lagoon for the next two days! Daniela will do two dives 🐡🦈🐢 here! I will take a 🧘‍♀️ yoga or cooking class 😉🤭!

It's now 7:36 am, yes that early!! The alarm went off at 6:00 🕕! We wanted to watch the sunrise 🤗. They say it's fantastic here in Amed. We eagerly waited for it on the beach loungers and I must say, it was worth it. The view was super beautiful 🤗. After taking countless photos, we went directly to breakfast 😁!

It's actually a shame that we're moving on! Amed is beautifully located on the coast, it still seems so sleepy and everyone is really nice🤗. I really enjoyed the scooter tours here 😉!

Right now, we're packing our clothes, because the taxi will arrive at 9:00 🕘. But the driver won't take us directly to the Blue Lagoon, we'll stop at a water palace on the way🙃. I'm looking forward to it, because the reports I've read about it are promising 👍! Before leaving the room, I wanted to take a look 👀 over the wall to see the stupid rooster. We had an open shower and you could see the sky beautifully. In the evening, it was particularly beautiful, the full moon shining in and countless ⭐️ stars visible. Now about the rooster, I put the bamboo ladder, which was used to dry our towels in the bathroom, against the wall! When I reached the top, I saw, opposite, countless chickens, several roosters and three cows were staring directly at me 🙈. There was a loud moo from one 🐮 cow. I grinned and climbed down the ladder and said to Daniela, "No wonder it's so loud in the morning, there's a farm next door 😂!"

We are now sitting in the water palace and drinking a health smoothie 😂! I'm actually a little disappointed with the WP🤭. Some information about the WP mentioned that you could spend a whole day here!!!! 🙈 Hmmmm, so I'm glad we'll be picked up after 1 1/2 hours 😁. The water palace is actually very beautifully laid out, with beautiful flowers and large ponds where huge koi swim! But the facility is very small, the Botanical Garden in Oppum is even bigger (but not nicer) 😜!

What's worth mentioning is that we are currently being driven by the manager and owner of our hotel 😇. That's really cool. They have to pick someone up in Sanur and combine our trips👍!

The manager is very nice, she tells us all about the area and keeps stopping so we can take photos 🤗. Really great 🙃!

We left the water palace at 11:30 am 😁. During the car ride, Ayu, that's the manager's name, offered us homemade delicacies 🙃. They tasted really good 👍. She fed her husband during the ride 😂. She also said that Balinese people eat everywhere! Today there was a lot of traffic and Noman thought, let's drive off the main road 🤨! Hm, that's what many others thought too 😂. But the ride was really interesting 😉 and the area was worth seeing again 😊. On the right was the jungle and on the left were the fields of the locals. We could see corn, rice, tomatoes, etc.! It's also shocking how poor many people here live! They only have their wooden huts and a lot of garbage around 🙁! But they are very friendly and keep chatting with us.

After a good hour's drive, we arrived at Daniela's diving area 😂. The resort also has its own diving base, but Daniela booked her dives with a German diving school next door 😁! UNFORTUNATELY, yoga and cooking 😇 were already fully booked, so the only thing available for me was a two-hour aromatherapy session at the spa. Do you want me to briefly describe what I can expect?: 1 hour full body massage, then a full body mask and an oil bath 🤗, I even got to choose the oils myself 😜!!!!! Isn't that great 😂🙃?!
