Flight to Cairns

It was March 2018 when I clicked the 'book now' button with a tingle in my stomach. And that was official - my five-month journey to Australia was booked.
After that happened, the rest was easy and went smoothly. I bought a used backpacker backpack (60+10l), took care of my visa, and started dreaming.
My starting and ending points were set. I would land in Cairns and fly back home from Sydney. So I only planned to travel the East Coast for my short trip.
For the start in Cairns, I booked a cheap but recommended hostel for the first few days (thanks to booking.com!). And since I had never dived before and was supposed to start at the Great Barrier Reef, the diving course was booked faster than I could even say scuba diving!
Everything else came with time... driver's license, small backpack, a few more traveler things (clothes, camera, clothespins ;-), etc.).
The day before departure had come and I packed my backpack for the first time, after watching 1-2 YouTube videos it was super easy and the 30h trip to Cairns could finally start!
