The white gold

Almost 500 kilometers behind us and there was not a single village along the way, only 2 gas stations where everything necessary could be done. The landscape became increasingly barren, with termite mounds instead of trees.

On the last 80 kilometers of Highway towards Onslow, we encountered only 5 cars (hopefully I didn't miscount).

Onslow is not on an island, it can be reached via numerous bridges that cross various salt lakes.

From November to March, this is a cyclone area, nothing can happen in July 😊, okay, there are always crocodiles here ☹️

Update, saw some bigger living birds today, emus and eagles. So far, only kangaroos lying on the roadside ☹️
