The last stop in Colombia is Bogota. We leave early at 8 o'clock to the bus station in Medellin to find a suitable bus. The planned travel time is 8 hours, so we should be in Bogota in the evening. The next bus leaves at 10:40. Perfect, we think. When we arrive at the bus, it is taken away because it is broken. A bus from another bus company is provided as a replacement. Let's go. After a few hours, the bus breaks down. We can only watch the bus drivers tinkering with the bus and hope they will finish quickly. The bus is repaired after about an hour and we continue. The road leads through narrow serpentine roads with many construction sites where we have to wait for a long time. After 8 hours, we have only completed half of the distance. By the way, the total length of the route from Medellin to Bogota is about 400 kilometers. We eat something in a restaurant. Finally, at around 2:30 a.m., we finally arrive in Bogota after a total travel time of about 16 hours. We take a taxi to the hostel and go straight to bed.
