The alarm clock rings. It's 5:50 am. We get dressed, grab our small backpacks, and walk to the airport.
We spent the last four days in Cartagena. After our trip to Minca, we said goodbye to Ben, Bianca, and Oscar in Santa Marta with heavy hearts and took the bus to Cartagena. Here we met our English friends Leon, Tom, and Elli again, went to the beach with them, had ice cream, strolled through the beautiful old town in the sweltering heat of Colombia, and had a fun evening at a rather unsuccessful party. Cartagena has an impressive city and a fascinating history behind it. It is colorful, loud, charismatic, and beautiful.
We are now at the airport, carrying light luggage, and about to fly to the Caribbean island of 'San Andrés'.
