9:30 Meeting point with Ryan. Taking a Tuk Tuk (4km, 80 cents) to the meeting point for a 2-hour sightseeing walking tour. There are so many beautiful buildings here in Jaipur (the Pink City, although the buildings are more faded orange).
We see these men playing their flute and "dancing" with snakes, I was excited like a little kid, you know, like in children's movies.
After the tour, we went up a tower with a great view. The combo ticket for all the important sights only cost us 2.50 as students. It's still unbelievable how cheap everything is.
Then we had real Indian fried street food for the first time. Anne finally got her beloved "Samosa".
Afterwards, we took an Uber to the fort located a bit outside. It's not so fun to walk uphill for 15 minutes in this heat. But it was worth it!
On the way back, we passed by a palace standing in the water.
After a cold shower, we met Ryan again to go to a museum and have dinner. "Masala Chok". A place with about 20 food stalls, we tried 5 of them. We can't get enough of Indian food.
Today we got a crash course from Ryan on how to negotiate hard. Anne tried it and the Tuk Tuk driver didn't like it, he just drove away (which never happens and they usually follow you until you get in). So we walked for 30 minutes to get to a rooftop bar. Along the way, there are so many people sleeping on the side of the road. It's a bit affecting me.
We took around 30 selfies with Indians today. We are often stared at, but sometimes people dare to ask for a photo. Once someone asks, 5 others come. But sometimes we are secretly photographed or filmed. It's kind of funny.
