We set off to the island of Una Una in North Sulawesi at 9 am. The trip to Ampana, from where we will take a boat, will take about 17 hours. We rented a car with a driver. There were two of them, as they had to cover the same 500 kilometers back and forth. We mostly drove on uneven roads, through small villages, passing by individual cafes, winding through green mountains, passing waterfalls, and crossing countless bridges over rivers.
Now we say goodbye for about 14 days, because on the small island of Una Una, which belongs to the Togian Islands, there is no TV reception and no internet. Just us.
