Fasten your seatbelts, please.
Fortunately, I didn't have to secure the belts myself, I was already nervous enough at the thought of floating several hundred meters high above the cloud forest of Baños on a rope. This adventure was planned from the beginning of our vacation planning, but now on the way to the Puntzan station, I started to feel a bit uneasy and questions like 'How fast do these ropes rust? How old is the facility actually? Is there a TÜV for cable cars in Ecuador?' came to my mind. Since I didn't get an answer to all these questions, I stuck to my new motto: no risk no fun! And at the station, our two guides Louis and Edi immediately gained my full trust. They took such good care of us that after the first practice ride, I got into some kind of altitude rush and could hardly wait for the next flight. Unfortunately, there were only six lines, but each one was special because you floated through tree canopies, over a river, over treetops, in a sitting position, in a Superman position, alone and in pairs. Superwomen hand in hand was of course the best flight!
