From Napa via Lake Berryessa to Clearlake

We took it easy and first drove from Napa up into the mountains to Lake Berryessa. There we went to Spanish Flat, where Yevo and I were the proud owners of a pub over 15 years ago. We had the Boone's Saloon pub for 3 years. The pub is still exactly as we left it in 2006, just completely dilapidated. I was even able to go in through the kitchen door and found our old menu cards at the counter. Absolutely creepy!!

Then we went up to Clearlake and had a nice evening with Yevo, eating burgers and drinking beer, which was served either from jam jars or from cognac snifters. Now we know that it’s not just the coffee “culture” that’s remarkable in America 😂
