On January 29th We drove to Melbourne in a rental car. K. had to get a few things for the boat, I went sightseeing and took care of my camera.
I found a company that cleaned my sensor quickly and easily, but not cheaply. I wanted to buy a new belt at the next store. The seller said he had some, but they were very expensive. Then he disappeared into the office and came back with a used but new belt that he gave me as a gift. Simply nice, the Australians.
Melbourne is a great city. Insane building, lots of water and lots of greenery. You can also explore the city on foot along the water. Nice restaurants on and in the water.
After a sightseeing tour with an excursion boat, the ticket seller for the excursion boats gave me the tip to go to the Skydeck.
You can take a lift to the 89th floor in 30 seconds and have a breathtaking view of Melbourne.
In the evening we picked up a fellow sailor for the next 1-2 weeks. Jupiter. He has been traveling for 3 months and contacted us via find a crew. He will come with us to Adelaide. It turns out very quickly that he is a real stroke of luck.
The next morning we set off for Portland.
