Departure from Brunico again in the best weather. Since our Garmin has a problem with the numerous border crossings, I navigate with Calimoto, an app that offers beautiful curvy routes online. The first section then goes through several very small and picturesque mountain villages. The road is single-lane, first through the forest and then through alpine meadows. The further we drive, the worse the track becomes, sometimes the road surface is missing and there are plenty of potholes. When we are supposed to turn right according to the navigation, this tour section ends because the road is impassable due to a landslide. So, back again and continue on the main road towards Bressanone. From Bressanone to Vipiteno we use the highway and then drive the Jaufenpass. Via Racines, Merano, Malles and Schluderns we reach the Reschen Pass. Now you can clearly feel the influx of German holidaymakers, hundreds of motorcycles, cars, campers... at the same time the hay harvest of the local farmers is in full swing, which means many farmers with their harvest vehicles. It's a pity that you can't represent the smell of fresh mountain meadow hay here! How much I would like to take a load of it for Floh 😉😊. In the best weather we reach Nauders and check in at the Nauderer Hof. While having a beer, we plan the next day, a circular route, and plan to stay here for another night.
