The ride was very comfortable, partly at a slow pace, along seemingly endless forests and through impressive canyons. Once we arrived, we spent about three hours there. We watched an informative film and then took a nice walk around a lake. The lake exists because a beaver made a great dam in two stages. On the way back to the starting point of the trail, we encountered an adult moose.
On the return trip, we had a meal on the train. But because we were charged lower prices than those listed on the booking price list, we had $6 too much. We couldn't do anything about it, but the nice attendant informed us that we could also use it in the bistro. So we got three Snickers bars as a reserve. With a delay of about an hour, we arrived back in Fairbanks and quickly returned to the campsite. There, unfortunately, we found that our swimwear was no longer hanging on the clothesline at our site. Either it was stolen or hopefully taken in by the camp attendant for safekeeping. We'll find out more tomorrow.
