Day 2 (2019) Arriving, sleeping, sweating...

The night on the plane was not very restful. We land promptly at 6 AM and pick up our rental car from AVIS. This time a Mazda 3 (so much nicer than the hated Nissan Sunny 🤣🤣).

Upon arriving at the family's apartment complex, three of us go straight to bed. We have some sleep to catch up on. The youngest son turns out to be the fittest and takes his two younger cousins to Abu Dhabi Downtown to the library, where there are great activities for children (drawing, reading, playing, etc.)

After our power nap, we take our time unpacking and entertaining the family cats in the living room. They enjoy the cuddles.

In the evening, we plan the next few days and chill out on the terrace in the evening heat of 30 degrees. By the way, it felt like 44 degrees this afternoon 🥵🥵🥵🥵
