Abu Dhabi & Dubai - a dream of 1001 nights

By now (as of April 2023), we have been to Abu Dhabi & Dubai 6 times, and in 2 days we will go for the 7th time to the UAE.

As the cities have changed and become richer in attractions with each passing year, and there is always something new to discover, I am using this blog to reminisce about our last 6 trips before starting the new blog for this year.

We start with the trip to Abu Dhabi from 2014 - back then I wrote a travel diary and still have some memories.

Some of you may be wondering:

'Why go to Abu Dhabi 7 times?'

Admittedly, we never really had the UAE on our radar. That changed when a family member moved to Abu Dhabi for work. Now the UAE became more interesting to us as we had a contact point and a place to stay. Especially during the main holiday season and the exorbitantly expensive prices of hotels there, it was a persuasive argument for a family trip.

So we enjoy visiting the family in Abu Dhabi and exploring the area every year - thanks to Covid, there was a mandatory 3-year break in between.

And yes, it's worth it!
