Nepal why are you so cold??
Today we started our journey towards Pokhara.
What we can say:
Nepal is the dirtiest country we have ever been to!
You really need a mask here!
There is sand and dust everywhere, and the exhaust fumes from the trucks....
Our lungs feel like they have been chain smoking cigars.
We spent our first night 'on the road' in a small hotel ... the night costs 4,60 and of course... no hot water...
My last hot shower was 8 days ago.
And guys - I'm really not like this - but it's just soooo cold...
It's like if you had to shower in your garden today...
And there's no heating in the room either....
Do you understand, huh?!
But there is also something positive:
The food is excellent!
Something completely different
Thursday 11.1.(80 km/ 1120 Hm)
After a unsatisfying breakfast (the omelette was good but unfortunately too small) we start...
For the fact that several people told us 'it's actually mostly flat' we had to conquer quite a few hills.
After a substantial lunch and 60 km later, the landscape starts to become more beautiful and the traffic to decrease.
Friday 12.1.
- 50 km to Pokhara
- Finally found an ATM that gave me money!!
- Found a hostel where we can store our bikes
- Applied for permits
- Bought hiking boots and a thermos flask
- Waited 1 hour for the food
- Fell asleep early
