Preparations for the Second Post-Army Trip

In preparation for the second big trip, 40 years after the first, which was to the East - Thailand, Philippines, and Nepal. This time we're heading west to South America, planning to visit the countries: Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Ecuador.
The flight to Lima, Peru on 2/3/2026 via Madrid and returning on 12/7/2026 from Lima flying directly to Santa Cruz, Bolivia.
We plan to buy a 4x4 vehicle and drive straight to Argentina to the far south and then up through Patagonia along the Chilean border and back to Bolivia, traveling in Bolivia and then crossing to Peru, Ecuador, and returning with a flight from Lima, Peru to Madrid, stopping for 3 days in Madrid before heading home.
