Pure relaxation

Wotae: 19.11.2022

The past few days and nights have been all about rest and relaxation after all the activities and experiences. We have made ourselves comfortable in our own little world in the idyllic resort.

We have enjoyed life to the fullest with delicious cocktails and food, numerous wellness treatments, and sunbathing on the private beach. It was easy to do so with the amazing service we received here.

Apart from the first alarming wake-up call, which turned out to be a deafening chorus of cicadas instead of a fire alarm, nothing disturbed our peaceful relaxation.

The view from the sea to our resort reflected the impression of being alone in the jungle. One couldn't even tell that there was a hotel complex here, as the individual bungalows are so well hidden in the lush nature.

There were still a few activities on the agenda. One evening, we went to the city to take our own street food tour at the night market and enjoy delicious local seafood. We also did some souvenir shopping. On the way back, our taxi driver had to brake suddenly because Henni had spotted postcards in the supermarket, much to our delight.

On Thursday, we treated ourselves to the last tourist attraction of our vacation - the longest non-stop overseas cable car in the world, approximately 8 km long. It takes you to a small island off Phu Quoc, where there is a large water park. The last few kilometers of the ride felt a bit strange to us, as a planned city inspired by Italy is being built here. Many of the houses are already finished, but almost everything is still empty, giving you the feeling of driving through a ghost town. Construction is still ongoing on the island, and you can imagine how many more attractions will be added over time.

After having fun and getting tired on the many water slides, we spent our last day of vacation relaxing at the resort. After a day at the spa, we enjoyed our last evening at the beach restaurant with live music.

And then it was unfortunately time to say goodbye to Vietnam and especially to Micha.
