The city center can be reached from my host family's house by bus or train in about 15 minutes. The city center is not very big, but it is small and fine. The streets are filled with small shops on both sides that embody the true Aussie spirit. Bags made of kangaroo leather, shoes with koala fur, and the smell of fresh fish & chips. Who wouldn't want to come to Australia? If you walk down to the water from the city center, you will come to the Swan River. The Elizabeth Quay is also located there. During the day, you have a wonderful view of the lake in one direction, and at night, you have a light show of Perth's nightlife in the other direction.
If you want to take the bus back in the evenings, you will encounter many indigenous people. Using the word "Aborigines" is forbidden in Australia, as it is considered an insult. Before every public gathering or announcement, there is a tribute to the indigenous people.
