Hey everyone,
Today our alarm went off at 8 o'clock. Since we only went to sleep around 3 o'clock, it was not easy to leave the cozy and warm bed. Kevin had hardly slept because of the noise. Again and again a police or ambulance with siren flies by, or a plane flies just above us. No, it's not quiet here... Since we had planned a girls' day today anyway, Kevin went back to bed again.
Mom and I had breakfast and headed towards "London City". We walked to the subway, switched to the metro and actually reached Oxford Street! Those who know us know that this is similar to a miracle :D.
Mom noticed in the metro that some of the people were weirdly colorful. I thought this was normal - London on the weekend, you know. Outside the metro, on the street again, it was really busy... We had actually managed to plan our shopping day exactly during the Gay Parade!
First we went to Victoria's Secret, which was really easy because it's located on New Bond Street. Afterwards it wasn't that easy anymore... We only managed to go to three stores in total - and it took us ages! We couldn't walk two steps in a row, sooo many people! Actually, it would have been really cool to watch - if we didn't want to go shopping... In between, we too stopped from time to time and watched the colorful hustle and bustle. There was really a lot to see! Men who looked more like women, women who had more of a man, and a totally great dog with colorful wings on its back!
At around 3:30 p.m. we slowly started making our way back. We didn't really make any progress anyway, we got what we wanted and our tired legs were slowly starting to protest. We made our way back with public transportation and were really proud of our achievement. Kevin was sorting out his clothes when we got back - he was really productive during that time!
We chatted a bit, talked about our experiences and got ready for dinner. In the beginning, we ended up in a shisha bar where the food didn't look appetizing at all. We continued with the excuse that we just wanted to have a glass of wine (they didn't serve alcohol there).
A little further ahead, we discovered a cute pub&diner where we immediately felt comfortable. We had delicious food, drank some wine and had a wonderful end to the day.
Later, Mom went to her cabin, we went to the camper and soon it was bedtime again.
We are looking forward to tomorrow and curious to see what it brings :).
See you tomorrow!
