Uyuni

Friday 13th March.
Continuing to Uyuni. The route on the way was once again fantastic. We are slowly entering very high areas in Bolivia. Until we reached our destination Uyuni, we didn't go below the altitude mark of 3500 meters. The highest point on the way was at 4356 meters. Our destination Uyuni is at 3632 meters. We also passed through the town of Potosi, a silver/tin mining town at an altitude of 4100 meters. Here you could see trucks that would have pleased the German TÜV. Breathing is already a bit harder in these areas. On the way, I also started to feel pressure in my head, similar to mild headaches. In the evening, I immediately took a tablet for it. The hotel we stayed in was full of Chinese people. We looked a bit stupid until we found out that they all had US passports or Canadian passports. The parking area in the hotel backyard was also very rustic.
