Day 27 - Safe swimming

Day two in Roberval begins. When we open the curtains, it is not cloudy as forecasted, but perfectly sunny.

We get ready and want to explore Roberval on foot.

We start walking. Three. We leave the hotel and walk towards the lake. According to the signs, the city center is also located there. But somehow there is nothing of a city, let alone a center, to be seen. The only great thing about Roberval is the harbor on Lac Saint-Jean.

A little further, the city beach is also marked. We set out to find it. It is not very large, maybe 10 meters wide. But there are two lifeguards on site to secure the beach. Apparently, the city has enough money or the people of Roberval cannot swim :)

We walk back towards the hotel as there is nothing else to see. We take a different path and pass a clearly secured building called 'Etablissement de détension'. Thanks to the translation, we now know - it is a prison. No wonder there are no houses within a radius of 1km.

In the late afternoon, we set out to find a restaurant. It's a bit difficult, but we find one. Thanks to playing cards, we spend the rest of the afternoon there and eventually also eat something. And it seems that this is the most famous and best place in Roberval. Because the place is crowded - compared to the empty beach.
