Finally summer and soon summer vacation. It was exhausting: we booked online tickets for swimming lakes (Leeheim Lake) and Pinta-Party-Beach (Raunheim) every week, 4-5 days in advance, so that we could get a spot, a sun lounger, an umbrella, and a parking space. Most of the time we were lucky and had wonderful weather for swimming, but 1-2 times the weather forecast was wrong, so it felt like we could have also bathed in the North Sea. But all in all, Hesse managed the swimming lakes better than BW, didn't it? Grin ...

By the way, Pinta-Beach is located about 800m directly in front of the runway of Frankfurt Airport - and not the runway that was used as a Boeing/Airbus parking lot, but the one that was still in operation during the lockdown. A jet only flew in about every 15-20 minutes, but every time the sky darkened over the sun lounger and umbrella, the landing gear was within reach. It's only about 50m high, so it gives you a little shiver every time.
