After our detour to Plitvice National Park, we are heading towards the coast today. Our next stop is Šibenik. After a delicious smoothie for breakfast, we hop into our rental car and start driving.
2 ½ hours later, we maneuver our car back and forth in the narrow driveway of our host Marinko and finally unload our belongings. Marinko's small apartment pleasantly surprises us, we go shopping for the next few days and have our lunch on the terrace. Yes, we have a small terrace with a view of a little garden.
After our little refreshment, we set off to the old town of Šibenik. Šibenik, one of the largest and best-preserved medieval cities on the Adriatic coast, impresses us a lot.
Similar to Piran, we are especially fond of the small alleys and the unique atmosphere of a medieval coastal town. On our way back to our apartment, we walk along the waterfront and enjoy the view of the old town.
Just before reaching our accommodation, we reach a small beach area. Here we will spend our day tomorrow and enjoy the Croatian sun. Since there won't be much happening except for reading, swimming, and occasionally turning over on the deck chair, there won't be an entry about it. However, we still took a few photos of the beach for you ;)
