After 12 hours of flight and a time difference of 7 hours, we safely arrived in Singapore. The temperature difference was quite large with 40 degrees (from minus 8 to 33). Singapore [/ee/destination/594e6bb07412bcbe3fea25d3/singapore] is considered an "entry-level" country for travel to Southeast Asia - so it was the ideal starting point for us. We immediately noticed how clean the city is. No wonder - if you leave your trash anywhere, you can expect very high fines. Drinking or eating was strictly prohibited on the driverless subway (approx. 450 € fine). We also had to leave our pack of chewing gum directly on the plane, as it was forbidden to bring it into Singapore 😃. In total, we spent 5 nights in Singapore before continuing to Malaysia. On the first day, we visited the "Domes" - tropical greenhouses where plants from all over the world grow. It was even cooler inside one of them than outside. In the evening, we were out and about for a very long time, as everything is beautifully lit up. On the second day, we went hiking in the urban jungle - a real jungle. We even encountered a 10 centimeter large Golden Orb spider. We'll spare you the photo 😜 On the third day, we went to the beach. After cycling for some distance, we decided to go swimming in the sea instead. That was much more enjoyable 😃 In the evening, we went up to the roof of a 50-story residential building to admire the skyline at night. On the last day, we visited the zoo. There, we saw two white tigers and a polar bear, alongside Timon and Pumbaa.
