Finally Everyman's Right

Wotae: 23.07.2016

The last two days have been extremely eventful! Friday 'morning' (which means for us around 11 am) started with a luxury breakfast, including sausages and bacon and eggs. The luxury continued at 'noon' (around 4:30 pm), each of us treated ourselves to a pizza in the beautiful old town of Tallinn. Which, of the 5 cities we visited, we liked the most with its medieval alleys, with a 2/3 majority. This luxurious day ended just as it began: with bacon and eggs. Initially, we also planned to go to sleep early. The reason for that was that we, being frugal, booked the ferry to Helsinki for 8:00 am for 82€ instead of 10:00 am for an extra 50€. The consequence was that the alarm clock was set for 5:45 am. But we didn't get much sleep because a nice couple from Lübeck engaged us in a conversation and we also observed the Estonian Hugh Hefner setting sail with 20 scantily clad young ladies.

So we started the morning accordingly groggy and the rest of the day was unusually exhausting for us! But because we had so much more time than usual, we achieved a lot more as well. We crossed over to Helsinki, inspected Finland's capital, where we noticed that the luxury is now over due to the prices. But since we had already slept at the harbor where all the Finns were exporting pallets of beer with their yachts, we were also prepared. Afterwards, we continued heading north. In the early evening, we started the long-awaited and one of the most exciting aspects of our trip: finding a place where we will make use of the 'Everyman's Right' for the next two nights. However, the 70-minute search turned out to be more difficult than expected in Milicki. But now, as shown in the attached picture, we can relax with our tent, just 10 meters away from the lakeshore. By now, with the distance we have covered, we could have even made it to the north of Morocco (Africa!!). Reason enough for us to toast with pride!
