At first glance when you look at the landscape you think it's Australia...if you look at it superficially, the Aussies also had flightless birds with long necks, but monkeys don't fit in with that.
We did land in Africa, but entry almost failed and we have no idea where we would be now...
At entry/passport control/visa we had to prove that our daughter is 16, also our daughter...nothing could be easier, they just wanted an international birth certificate 😂😂😂😂
Of course we always have...
There was a movie called “Terminal”? Or to be honest, I could already see us sitting there…
In the end, all we needed was a photo of the birth certificate that our son, who didn't come with us, sent us. Different countries, different customs. It belongs in the drawer, "now we know"!
This was followed by the handover of the vehicle, almost 3 hours and the first purchase!
Nice surprise Australian biscuits “tam tam” are also available here🫢
Now we have arrived at the lodge, having encountered many animals on the way, definitely more than Australia (last comparison), at least for today!
There is a waterhole in front of the lodge and I'm excited to see what we get to see. The road leading to the lodge is a sandy track. The speed limit was 100 km/h, but I managed 40 in some places.
The view and the peace are impressive…
