At dawn, we woke up just in time for the sunrise. Wet from the morning dew, we shook out our things and hung them on the line we had strung from tree to tree.
After breakfast, we continued along the road lined with huge forests. We thought it was a bit like Canada. On the way, Jessica saw a bear - 98 percent sure. We didn't know what made up the remaining two percent of uncertainty.
Halfway through, we stopped at a lake and spent the day there. Completely exhausted, we lay on the beach towels after summoning up the courage to jump into the lake from a ten-meter diving board. We were a little proud and quickly forgot the minutes of hesitation on the diving board.
In the evening, we had dinner in the middle of the forest. I can hardly decide what the most beautiful thing about Sweden is - but I don't have to. The forest is definitely one of them.
Afterwards, we headed to Vaxholm, an island located 40 minutes away from Stockholm. The mother of a friend of mine lives there, so we could stay with her for two nights. The island can only be reached by ferry and takes eight minutes to get there. We liked it from the first moment. We stayed with Suchanya, my friend's mother, in a small guesthouse next to the main house and it was incredibly cozy.
