Tag 107: a boat trip that is fun...

After spending almost every day on the motorcycle for the past two weeks, we deserved a break. We were picked up at 11am for a three-day boat trip to Ha Long Bay. After driving to the port and being led to our boat, we set sail soon after. We were served a delicious lunch already when leaving the harbor. After about two hours of sailing, we arrived at Surprise Cave. This dripstone cave had a very special light atmosphere due to its large entrance. After the cave, we went to a small island where we could go swimming and climb a lookout tower. Here we got to know more and more people from our boat. With the sun already setting, we left the island and the captain searched for an anchorage for the night. With a beautiful panorama, we drank wine, beer, had dinner, sang karaoke, and went squid fishing at night. With over 2000 islands around us, we went to sleep in our cabins in the middle of the night. Tonight was one of the funniest we've had so far.
