Driving... driving... driving...

...through the Velebit mountain range, through the Paklenica National Park, past the Kvarner Bay, further through Slovenia with standing in line at the border crossing.

Always having the mountains in sight, we soon passed the southern side of the Dolomites. We drove over the Sant Pelegrino Pass and then over the Passo Costalunga, waved to the Rosengarten and the Catinaccio Group, until we reached South Tyrol. Now it was not far anymore and the palm trees and apple plantations already gave a hint of the destination: Merano

Exhausted but happy, we arrived here after 10.5 hours of driving.

We promise ourselves two more beautiful and relaxing days in the mountains to process the many and intense impressions of the last two weeks in peace. But first, it's time to go to bed.
