Our last island and also the last place in Thailand was Ko Phangan. Actually the island we wanted to go to first, but unfortunately it was pretty booked up. In the end, we made it here and had a super nice accommodation, a bungalow with its own terrace. We liked it the best here, even though it's very esoteric in some corners. Not too small, not too big. Super nice beaches and a lot of jungle and hiking opportunities in the middle. As good tourists do, we of course hiked up the highest mountain, Khao Ra, which is doable at 635m summit height 😉. From here we had a nice view of Chaloklum Bay. To cool down, we went to the sea at Malibu Beach afterwards. The next day we made a short detour to Haad Rin, which is mainly known for the Full Moon Party and unfortunately seems very geared towards it. After that, we climbed up to the next viewpoint, the beautiful Bottle Beach Viewpoint. With the goal in sight, we then went through the jungle to Bottle Beach. There we relaxed again on the white sandy beach with clear water. On the way back it rained, but that's bearable at warm 30 degrees 😊 And then came our last day in Ko Phangan and thus the last of a total of 40 days in Thailand. We took it easy and relaxed a lot on the beach. Today we are heading to Malaysia by ferry, bus, and train!
